I was booking it through Downtown Brooklyn this morning, laptop bag tugging on my shoulder, chest tight from the wind and cold. It’s not like I really had anywhere to be, but in New York you gotta WALKFAST! LOOKDOWN! DON’TSTOP!
As I waited for the light to change at a familiar corner, I looked up.
That’s the thing about New York, you never know where inspiration may be lurking…maybe right above the corner sandwich shop.
A little Googling revealed that it’s a piece called “Train to Always” by artist Steve Powers.
I’m not sure what Powers’ intention was, but at least to me, it’s a good reminder to spend less time in meh, longing, and lonely, and take more stops in seek, yes, and always. What does it mean to you?
